Officer Benefits UFA/UMCG officers form the leadership of a highly respected organization that has placed students in the most desirable career positions. All UFA/UMCG officers develop excellent relationships with finance and consulting professionals. These relationships allow UFA/UMCG officers to have a clear edge over their peers. In addition, UFA/UMCG alumni offer specialized assistance for students looking for internship and full-time positions. UFA/UMCG aims to recruit students with an excellent academic record and a strong desire to learn about the business world. All students, regardless of age, are encouraged to apply. Position Descriptions Vice President of Management Consulting will coordinate the 18th Annual Management Consulting Forum event next semester, featuring over 25 premier consulting firms. This position is available for one especially qualified junior candidate who has excellent professional skills and has a strong, focused interest in being a consultant. Please clearly indicate in your e-mail that you are interested in this position. Vice President of Investment Management will coordinate the 10th Annual Investment Management Forum event next semester. This position is available for one especially qualified junior candidate who has excellent professional skills and wants to immediately assume responsibility in the organization. Please clearly indicate in your e-mail that you are interested in this position. Marketing Director is given the responsibility to promote the organization and its events. The director is under heavy time pressures. This position requires a dedicated individual who has excellent organizational skills. The Marketing Director is wonderfully poised to observe the inner workings of the organization – a good stepping-stone to a vice president position. Alumni Chair will have the opportunity to interact with key alumni in the investment banking, management consulting, and investment management positions. This position is well suited to a motivated individual who has excellent communication skills and possesses maturity beyond their age. Secretary is given the responsibility of maintaining organizational records and accounts. This person should be an excellent writer and will also learn the inner workings of the organization. Membership and Recruiting Chair is responsible for maintaining the organization’s databases and aliases. The Membership Chair becomes particularly involved during the periods immediately before events. The Membership Chair will gain valuable skills operating business software such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Managing Editor will create the internship directory and any other publications distributed by the organization. Treasurer organizes the budget for UFA/UMCG. This position is ideal for a student who has excellent Math skills and is comfortable with Microsoft Excel and other business applications. IT Manager is responsible for maintaining and redesigning the web page. Previous experience working with web pages is required. Philanthropy Chair is responsible for organizing events that serve the surrounding communities. Marketing Associate serves as an assistant to the Marketing Director and is an excellent position for underclassmen that wish to learn about finance and consulting |
