Alison Sonders

About: Alison is in her final year at Berkeley majoring in Economics and Business
Administration, and minoring in Chemistry. Interested in both science and
economics, she writes regularly for the science journal Theory and is
involved with the Undergraduate Economics Association. This past summer,
she interned with the healthcare group of Morgan Stanley's Investment
Banking Division in New York, and hopes to continue working on the
financial side of healthcare. When not in class, Alison enjoys playing
tennis, practicing chess and the piano, and tutoring high school students
in math and science.

About: Ida is a third year Business Administration Major with a strong interest in management consulting, and a future goal of opening her own cafe and restaurant. She has been working for IBM since April 2006 to the present as a marketing intern for IBM, and volunteers as a mentor for kids at the Life Learning Center in SF. Her past jobs include work in both the retail and restaurant industries. In her spare time she enjoys working out, playing sports, cooking, traveling, and watching movies. She has a risky and adventurous approach to life, and loves to keep busy, active, and productive.
Kenneth Salas

About: Kenneth Salas is a fourth year student majoring in International Political Economy. He is the former President of the Latino Business Student Association at Berkeley. Kenneth seeks to obtain a full-time offer to work for an investment bank in New York City. During Summer 2007, he interned at Deutsche Bank in their Equity Capital Markets group in New York City. Kenneth speaks three languages including Spanish, English and French. He is planning to master his French and study in Bordeaux, France his last semester in college. On his free time, Kenneth enjoys going to the gym, reading, and most of all, watching movies.
Matthew Estes Position: VP Management Consulting

About: Matthew is a second year intended Business Administration major. During the summer of 2007, Matthew worked at an independent brokerage firm, First Wall Street Corporation, and backpacked over 40 miles through the Sierra Mountains. He is also an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys CrossFit, Jiu Jitsu, reading, and performing irrefutable discounted cash flow analysis.
Paul Janczyk

About: Paul Janczyk is a senior majoring in Business Administration and Economics. During summer 2007, he interned with Kaiser Permanente as a Finance and Strategy Intern identifying and using natural expense account drivers to develop a forecasting model for the P&L statement.

Paul's past experiences range from analyzing macroeconomic and project market area trends and patterns with the economic consulting firm Empire Economics to marketing and managing first trust deeds and a variety of other real estate investments with Point Center Financial, a high-growth private money-lending company.

His career interests are widespread, including economic and financial consulting, financial planning and analysis, and corporate finance. Outside of school, Paul has many passions including golf, basketball, traveling and rafting.
Raymond Kei

About: Raymond Kei is a fourth year student majoring in Business Administration and Economics. He is truly interested in investment banking, and he is the student instructor of the Investment Banking Decal at Berkeley. Last summer he interned at Merrill Lynch Private Wealth Management, and currently he is interning at KPMG as a Economic Valuation Intern. He speaks three language including English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. On his free time, Raymond emjoys indoor mountain climbing, kayaking, and biking.

Shaan Sheth

About: Shaan is a second year intended Business Administration major with a
specialization in international relations. He is active in other
organizations on campus such as Alpha Epsilon Zeta Professional Fraternity
and the Alumni Scholars Association. During the summer of 2007, he
interned at Citigroup Smith Barney where he shadowed a financial advisor
and worked in product marketing. In his free time, Shaan enjoys playing
both basketball and golf, traveling and spending time at the beach.
Uday Sandhu
Major: Business Administration

About: Uday is a senior majoring in Business Administration. Since March 2007, he has been working as an analyst intern in the Technology Investment Banking division of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. His career interests lie in private debt placements, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, and continued equity offerings, many of which he has worked on in his internship. Uday recently won the Gap Corporate Social Responsibility Case Competition, and has been a finalist in two investment banking case competitions. A frequent traveler, he has been to almost all countries in Asia, Western Europe, and North America. Besides school, Uday likes to play golf and tennis, listen to international music, and travel.
William Cheung

About: William Cheung is a Mechanical Engineering major graduating in December 2007, and is deeply interested in design, product development, finance, and engineering.

He has completed internships as an investment banking summer analyst and as a business development intern with Yojo Mobile, Inc., developing and evolving the concept for a mobile phone advertising platform that was deployed in April 2007. This past summer, he interned at Pay By Touch in San Francisco, an 800 employee startup with more than 200 million in funding, developing the user interface for enrollment kiosks as a product design intern in the US consumer facing products group. These products will roll out by the end of the year.

He is also active in leadership on campus, as president of UFA/UMCG, co-founder of the Berkeley Venture Group, and director of Berkeley Innovation. During his semester studying abroad in Hong Kong, he founded !nnovation HKU, a student group dedicated to stimulating creativity and innovation in Hong Kong and greater China. He hopes to apply his interests in his own entrepreneurial ventures in energy, sustainable design, fashion, web products, or consulting in the near future. In his free time, he enjoys trying new restaurants and tasting new countries, playing sports, sketching, and hip hop... all at the same time.
